Really good quick haircut. First time here. Went on a whim bc its next to my office. Fred was super nice and worked quick and efficient. Nothing wild or exciting about my usual cut but he nailed it first time out. Recommend.

Would not recommend this place, my last haircut here felt very rushed - which indeed, it was. One side of my fade was completely longer and uneven from the other side. One side was trimmed out way too thin. Somehow a piece of the hair from the top of my hair that is longer also got cut to the length of the sides, and now sticks out because it doesn't lay properly in either direction. All in all, you've been warned!

I had an appointment today at 8 AM for a cut and shave (60 minute procedure). The train was having signal problems, so I ended up being 20 minutes late.

I had an appointment with Tori, and he told me that since I was late, he could not see me.

All I really needed was a beard trim (a 30 minute procedure), so I asked just for that.

He literally said, "you don't want me doing that, I just cut myself today." And told me he had later appointments, so he didn't want to rush the 30 minute procedure into a 40 minute window. Mind you, he was literally sitting in a chair, reading. I checked online, and, wouldn't you know, he had a 9AM available to be booked. So, either he just can't do beards, he lied about being busy, or both.

Just not going back anymore. With the many barber shops around, I wouldn't risk going here if you have something important that day.

was fortunate to get Noel as my barber. Noel is an artist when it comes to fades, and my hair is not easy to cut.

I often get compliments and some want to know where I go. So if you want a fade that gets noticed, go to Olde Tyme Barbers and tell Noel that Jayson sent you. You won't regret it.

James has cut my hair a few times and trimmed my beautiful luscious beard and I must say, he's an artist! He's extremely professional and also personable! But most importantly, I leave with a great hair cut and beard trim each time. The place has a great old school barbar vibe and being located so close to GC makes it really convenient.
If you're looking for a real deal barber, I highly recommend OTB, especially James!

Been looking for my spot since I moved to NYC and now I have found it in Olde Tyme Barbers and Mike Wood, who is a gem.

If you want a $70 John Alan set up - this isnt your place. If you want a cheap and nasty job, again this isnt it.

It is the middle, which suits me perfectly. You will get speedy, but not nasty service, people who will listen to what you want and tell you about your hair, an expert in what he does. Great guy as well, great bedside manner!

Also walked in at 11am on a Thursday and got something straight away.

I found my spot and I'll be going back.

Arrived at 7:35pm and was told they were closed. My haircut would not have taken more than 15/20 mins. Yelp needs to update the hours of operation for this place. Terrible attitude of the barbers.

Came in on a Friday afternoon feeling a bit skeptical about this shop, but was I in for a surprise! Joe gave me a warm welcome made me feel welcome with all his humor & jokes, he even put on a song for me on the radio that corresponed to my name ("Eli is coming by Three Dog Night") told me that the song should be my entrance tune when I visit clients, LOL!
Haircut was exactly as I had expected, price was very good as well.
Overall highly recomended - Joe an excellent barber with a very happy atitude, the place has a very joyful atmosphere - you will not feel awkward at all!

Great little barbershop in the heart of midtown. Marie Anne was really friendly and did a great job. Was pretty reasonably priced for the area, relative to plenty of barbers trying to charge $80 plus for a cut. Definitely going to go back.
